HYAC Taiz branch inaugurates the 52nd medical camp to combat blindness in the city of Al-Turbah in Taiz

On Sunday, 15/5/2022, the Undersecretary for Health Affairs, Dr. Ilan Abdel-Haq, inaugurated the medical camp to combat blindness in Khalifa Hospital in Al-Turbah, number 286, which is implemented by HYAC – Taiz Branch.

During the inauguration, Dr. Ilan praised this important humanitarian work that targets the destitute segment of the population of the city of Al-Turbah and the rest of the surrounding areas, considering these steps of great importance to combating the spread of blindness, especially among the elderly, by performing cataract operations, implanting free medical lenses and providing the necessary treatment.

The Deputy Governor for Health Affairs, on behalf of the local authority represented by the governorate’s governor, Nabil Shamsan, and in the name of all the people of Taiz, valued the support provided by the State of Kuwait, the Emir, the government and the people, to their brothers in Yemen in general and Taiz in particular in many humanitarian and relief fields for decades.

She also praised HYAC, which implemented the project and was present in many relief and humanitarian situations throughout the war period, wishing more of these projects and their sustainability for the service of the people of the province.

The inauguration event was also attended by Mr. Muhammad Al-Sanawi, Deputy Governor for Stone Affairs, as well as Mr. Abdulaziz, Director General of the Al-Shamayatayn Directorate
They also praised the anti-blindness camp project, the role of the sisterly State of Kuwait, which finances it, and many health projects in Taiz Governorate

The Director of the Health Department indicated that HYAC Taiz branch had previously implemented several camps to combat blindness in the city of Taiz, Al-Turbah and Mocha, and the implementation of this camp is an extension of those camps and a continuation of them
